What is the Fire Effect?
The Fire Effect is a creative filter that gives your video a "burning" appearance. It works by dramatically reducing the intensity of pixels. This crushes the shadows into deep blacks while turning brighter areas into glowing, saturated reds and oranges, mimicking the look of molten lava or a dark environment lit by flames.
Before and After Example
How It Works (The Math)
To create this dramatic look, we perform a mathematical operation on every pixel in the video frames. Specifically, we subtract a constant value from the color channels.
If the result is negative, it becomes 0 (black). This eliminates mid-tones and shadows, leaving only the brightest parts of the image visible, often shifting their hue towards the "hot" end of the spectrum (red/orange) depending on which channels retain data.
Real-World Applications
- Music Videos: Create an intense, high-energy atmosphere.
- Gaming Edits: Add a "rage" or "power-up" mode to highlight reels.
- Cinematography: Simulate dream sequences or heat vision.
- Digital Art: Experiment with destructive editing techniques.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Is there a file size limit?
We recommend keeping files under 10MB for smooth processing.
Q: Is my uploaded video safe?
Yes. Your video is processed in real-time and deleted immediately after conversion. We do not store your files.
Q: Why is my video mostly black?
This effect subtracts light. If your original video is dark, the result might be too dark. Try using a video with bright highlights or daylight.
